My pricing is intended to strike a fair and utilitarian balance. I'd prefer that musicians not have to keep an eye on the clock while painting their masterpiece, but I do need to be paid. So, the current experiment is $15 hourly for tracking and $150 per song for mixing. I am achieving big league results, yet these are still decidedly minor league rates. I generally spend at least two full work days per mix, not including revisions, and I will revise as neccessary. I will assess a $15 fee for setting up to record a full band, otherwise the clock doesn't start until I hit record. Lunch breaks don't count; cigarette breaks, however, do.. |
